This piece is connected to design as I was challenged to creatively transform an underused golf course located within a low income, low median age neighborhood that lack access to open space, into a public park that serves to represent environmental equity for the people in the surrounding community. The programmed spaces within the park and their type, color, quality and shapes were intentionally designed to meet the needs and aesthetic preferences of the people living in this neighborhood.
